Marriage on Mission: Kingdom First

We Are Church, former church - Cornerstone Community Church · 1:18:31

This powerful teaching and Q&A session with Francis and Lisa Chan redefines the purpose of marriage, challenging believers to shift from a "comfortable life" mindset to a "Kingdom-first" perspective. They argue that marriage is not merely for personal fulfillment but an eternal mission for God's glory and disciple-making, emphasizing the urgency and undivided devotion called for in 1 Corinthians 7. Through personal stories of sacrificial living, fostering, and faith-driven decisions, they illustrate what it means to pursue God's mission together. The second half features a practical Q&A, where Francis and Lisa address real-world challenges for couples and parents, including navigating differing mission callings, raising children with Spirit-given conviction, balancing mission with family responsibilities, honoring extended family, and preparing kids for a broken world without creating a "Christian bubble." The central invitation remains: seek first the Kingdom of God and trust Him with everything else, offering profound guidance for growing Christians and leaders.
