Desperate for His Presence

We Are Church, former church - Cornerstone Community Church · 34:30

In this powerful message from a worship night at Pepperdine University, Francis Chan challenges listeners to move beyond seeking emotional experiences or blessings, and instead cultivate a profound hunger for the very presence of God. He unpacks Exodus 33, highlighting Moses' unwavering demand: 'If Your presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here,' demonstrating a desire for God Himself above all else. Chan contrasts outward religious acts with the inward transformation brought by the Holy Spirit, urging a re-examination of what we truly seek from God. Through personal stories and scriptural insights, he calls for a heart-response of worship rooted in both the fear and love of God, leading to an enduring walk with Him and a life marked by genuine spiritual change.
