It's Worth The Dirt: Matthew 13

Elevation Church · 59:37

In this powerful sermon, Pastor Steven Furtick unpacks the profound truth that true wisdom lies not in choosing the easiest path, but in discerning what is truly 'worth the dirt.' Drawing heavily from the parables in Matthew 13, particularly the mustard seed and hidden treasure, and referencing Genesis 2:7, Furtick challenges the audience to shift their perspective on slow progress and difficult seasons. He argues that God often uses pressure and patience in unseen places to prepare individuals for something far greater, urging listeners not to miss the significance of small beginnings or compromise their standards when growth feels arduous. This message offers practical application for anyone tempted to quit due to hardship, encouraging them to interpret the 'dirt' of life as a divine process for spiritual growth and the cultivation of deep-rooted faith. It's particularly relevant for growing Christians seeking to understand God's work in their struggles and find joy and peace amidst challenging circumstances, ultimately calling them to worship God even because of the dirt.
