I've Got To Get Up: John 5

Elevation Church · 43:01

This sermon from Pastor Steven Furtick, delivered during Elevation Nights, unpacks the powerful narrative of Jesus healing the paralytic at the Pool of Bethesda in John 5:1-11. Furtick emphasizes that when God is ready to act, nothing can stop Him, and Jesus actively seeks out individuals in their deepest struggles. The central message revolves around the repeated call to 'get up,' signifying a divine invitation to move beyond perceived limitations and past failures. The message offers profound encouragement for growing Christians facing personal struggles, fear, or feelings of being stuck, highlighting Jesus's ability to stop for 'the one' and speak life into impossible situations. Listeners are challenged to abandon fear, listen to Jesus's command, and embrace the truth that their current struggle is not the end of their story, but rather a moment for divine intervention and a fresh start.
